I’ll be the first to admit it – I’m a fangirl of note. Of all sorts of things. Particularly Playstation games. To anyone who knows who Kratos is, I salute you and present you with my own humble tribute. God of War might not be everyone’s cup of tea – but it certainly was mine and Adrian’s.
I met him when he was bartending at News Cafe in Menlyn, Pretoria. My brother was managing the place and I was interning at a photography studio on the CSIR campus. This was in fact one of my very first studio shoots. The mission was simple: come up with a theme and execute it as professionally as I could. Chatting to Adrian about it one evening, we decided that Kratos was our guy – all we had to do was get some chains and body paint. This was shot on a Canon EOS 60D with an f-stop of 22, 1/250 shutterspeed, ISO 250 and one huge softbox.
I have many ideas for future tributes of my favourite games so keep a weather eye on my galleries if it’s your thing.
